..or not!

Dear sonat1ne,

You finished the tournament in 3rd place.
A $560.00 award has been credited to your Real Money account.

i was chip leader by a friggin mile for the hour or so, then i got wrapped up in 2 with goldfish while we were 3 handed that dropped me to my knees. the first one hit me from around 35k to 10k, it wasnt a great moment for me. i made 2pr on 5th street and was ahead, but goldfish caught up on the river for jacks up to my lower 2pr. it was a great read otherwise.

i then doubled up through him with A high finding a second ace on 7th.

the last hand, well, i hadnt been catching cards in a while and when one runs cold, often its natural to assume other people are making moves when they are simply running hot.

i went to war with 99 in the hole, he had pocket jacks. i didnt improve, and he in fact made 2pr on the riv.

overall i really liked my play tonight. i kept it in my pants pretty much and didnt overcommit or do anything. i was 3rd from the bottom for some time, and i stayed calm and picked my spots, and in the end i made a super deep run.

i could have been more patient when we were 3 handed. im quite sure i could have made 2nd at least if i was. golfdish was running real hot, i could have stayed out of his way, or at least picked a stronger position to take a stand with.

but overall i have to really say im pleased with how i performed and with the results, and i think that next time ill be less inclined to repeat my mistakes.

anyway, i want to give some serious thought to how i want to proceed.

i have 3 options;

cash out say, 300$ and hope to spin up the rest in MTTland.

take the 600$ in my roll and hit up some 3-6 and 5-10 HORSE cash games, low stakes mtts, sngs, etc, with the intent of putting profits towards the 109$ HORSE buyins.

just keep joining the 109$ and hope i catch another deep run before i go busted.

#3 seems like the worst option. #2 sounds like it has potential.. #1 sounds like an admission of defeat...
