h'ok... lets see here

cashed out from b. the 200$ a week rakeshare minimum is completely unrealistic; i played all day and the after scoring a quick hundred in a morning 5/10 LHE session, all they had spread was 3/6 LHE, some 1/2 and 2/4 NLHE, and a 5/10 NLHE game where the average pot was (not kidding) 46$ usually. so thats that. the rule is completely unfair and i truly believe that not only did i not play well with the pressure it added, but it also affected play on other sites. so fuck that, outta here. that money is going to bodog for the time being. im going to grind some low limit plo there and see what happens, plus they have incredibly juicy overlays on some mtts, but the price may be a bit much for a little while at least... we will see, we will see.

the HORSE tourn on stars went meh. i cashed out in 12th for about 60$, joined an NWP private tourn for 10$, and sweated some small mtt's with no results, so my roll on stars is 157$, which is -100 overall.

i cashed out of b with 300, which is -250 what i had a few days ago, and feel lucky to have been able to do so.

on prima however, things are going swimmingly. currently up to 675$, +100 today.

unsure how to proceed on stars. i will try to sat in to the 100 grand tomorrow. i might just buyin if things dont work out, depends how leaderboard MTT is going i guess.

funny plo hand that really, really pissed some people off:

** Dealing card to sonatine:

ok. this is a hand i want to see a flop with on a super aggro table where people are potting pre with facecards and generally playing their hands face-up postflop. now, i would never draw to the heart flush outright on a 2 flush board, 6 high is useless, but for backdoor draws or as blockers, there is tremendous implied value.

say i flop a straight with 2 hearts and someone wants to go to war. either they have Ah Xh and want their money in before the flush ruins their action (so standard btw), or occasionally they just have Ah and think they know something about bluffing. also standard among people who have read a book or two but really its not profitable at most limits.

so yeah basically im looking for straight value or set value if i want to get involved in a big pot post flop. also im out of position, which sucks, but i only have about 8% of my stack involved and if i hit, i stand to make substantial loot, so short handed, yeah im seeing the flop.

awesome, dadbeatsme pots on the button, so standard, fine. this was a laggy game, a pot bet on the button pf meant almost nothing here in terms of putting him on a hand, he could have just had something coordinated.

millmaker, the small blind, does something typically retarded for these limits; he raises an additional 1.75$ to 4$. why? who does that? what hand could he have that he wants to build a huge multiway pot in? obv coordinated face cards, probably with a big pair, but with holdings like that, you really want to isolate preflop, which aint happening at this table.

anyway, i was calling the 2.25$, so im obviously calling the additional 1.75$. i call 4$, _ndugu_ who had limped in EP calls, and dadbeatsme *calls*.

wtf..?

thats the biggest failing at these limits i think, that people dont isolate pre. if he had repopped, i would have folded i believe. he would have been representing aces and paired hands play very poorly against aces, even double suited.

so yeah its a family affair.

and we get...

** Dealing the flop:

pot: 16$ with four players.

ok. i flop an OESD and backdoor flush. i can be absolutely positive someone has a spade draw. so if a spade hits, i have to abort. also, anyone with aces is potting here.

lets say one of those aces is a spade and hes trying to represent the nut flush;

Omaha Hi: 820 enumerated boards containing 4s 3s 8h
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
As Ad Qd Th 341 41.59 479 58.41 0 0.00 0.416
5s 6c 6h 4h 479 58.41 341 41.59 0 0.00 0.584

well well well! im basically a 3-2 favorite.
now lets give him the nut flush draw:

cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
As Ts Ad Qd 497 60.61 323 39.39 0 0.00 0.606
5s 6c 6h 4h 323 39.39 497 60.61 0 0.00 0.394
interesting! now hes the 3-2 favorite. assuming he pots, thats 32$ in the middle, giving me decent odds to chase him down with a non-spade 2 or 7 as well as the 6d or 6s if the board pairs.

anyway, things proceed in a way i find encouraging! dadbeatsme represents aces and/or the flush draw!

i call, with odds, and so does ndugu. at this point i think dadbeatsme has aces and ndugu has the nut spade draw, its the only scenario that makes sense.

anyway, 64$ in the pot now, and 3 to the turn...

** Dealing the turn:

nice. very nice. now ive picked up a flush draw in addition to my oesd. its not impossible that someone has a better heart draw but im willing to weather that risk.

sonatine checked

_Ndugu_ went all-in - $39.01

dadbeatsme went all-in - $8.60

very interesting. although its possible that ndugu has a better heart draw than me, i think thats more of a defensive bet, or he picked up 2pr and thinks hes ahead in the race.

with a heart draw and an oesd, i have 9 hearts, 2 2's, 2 7's, and the 6d . thats about 14 clean outs out of 45 cards. there is about 110$ in the pot, 40$ to call.

so im around 30% to win and getting around 3 to 1 on my money, plus a third of my stack is already invested in the pot... yeah its go time.

sonatine called - $39.01

** Dealing the river:

_Ndugu_ shows:

sonatine shows:

dadbeatsme mucks:

sonatine wins about a 300bb pot.

End of game 1909229349

rock and roll.

lets look at the the relative hand values on every street.

preflop:

cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
As Js 7s Kd 208192 41.64 291808 58.36 0 0.00 0.416
5s 6c 6h 4h 193127 38.63 305962 61.19 911 0.18 0.387
2s 4c 4d 2h 97770 19.55 401319 80.26 911 0.18 0.196

ok, dadbeatsme's hand is rediculous and plays terribly against a multiway pot.
if he nails a 2 or 4 on the flop, very often hes going broke with an underset.

ndugu also has no business seeing a flop in a raised multiway pot. hes holding one
of his flush outs, plus the only board he can safely bet at is QTx rainbow. pretty much
anything else should terrify him if there arent at least 2 spades out.
and im gambling but i have positive equity in the pot pf.

on the flop:

cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
As Js 7s Kd 136 20.42 530 79.58 0 0.00 0.204
5s 6c 6h 4h 168 25.23 498 74.77 0 0.00 0.252
2s 4c 4d 2h 362 54.35 304 45.65 0 0.00 0.544

ok, dadbeats me is way ahead with middle set but its by no means an open and shut
case. hes in a really, really big race; hes flipping a coin on this flop. around 33%
of the time or something he fills up and wins outright, but if that doesnt happen,
every other draw you can imagine is well represented.

im actually ahead of nbutu tho, just barely but im ahead.

and on the turn;

Omaha Hi: 36 enumerated boards containing 4s 3s Jh 8h
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
As Js 7s Kd 5 13.89 31 86.11 0 0.00 0.139
5s 6c 6h 4h 12 33.33 24 66.67 0 0.00 0.333
2s 4c 4d 2h 19 52.78 17 47.22 0 0.00 0.528

i reclaim equity, i win a all in 3 way pot 1 in 3 times.

the river of course seals the deal. dadbeatsme berates me
for about 2 straight minutes then reloads, with hilarious results!
